DALE LEATHERMAN

Dale Robert Leatherman ("Harold") On August 6, 2010, Dale lost his battle with cancer. Dale was also known to his family and friends as "Harold". He was born to Dale Eugene Leatherman and Judy Kay Rice on December 25, 1957 and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1976. Dale was a farmer and enjoyed working outdoors at Twin Orchards (owned by Gene and Irene Orr) for 32 years. He was a very experienced mechanic keeping all the equipment running in tip top shape. He always said "If I can't fix it you might as well throw it away." Animals found the soft spot in his heart and he had numerous dogs and cats throughout his life. He was very proud of his nephew, Evan and loved to teach him new things. Dale was always ready and willing to help anyone who needed it and continued to do so with the donation of his eyes. Dale is survived by his mother, Judy Rice; brother, Aaron (Leeann) Leatherman, sister Deborah (Gary) Gatrell, nephew, Evan Leatherman, niece, Cristy Crossman and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale (Gene) in 2001 and his grandparents, Robert Rice, Rosemarie Pawelczyk, Victor and Dorothy Leatherman. Cremation has taken place and per Dale's request, no services will be held.
