Cynthia "Cindy" Bellenbaum

Cynthia Renee Bellenbaum, 57, of Bellaire, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October29, 2024, at her home. She was born on October 18, 1967, in Charlevoix.

Cindy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Central Lake High School in 1985. She was an extremely hard-working woman and held many jobs in the area over the years. She was a waitress at the Bellaire Bar, worked as an aide at Bellaire Elementary School, did laundry and housekeeping at Grandvue and Meadow Brook, and waited tables at Toonies. She had a charming personality that drew people to her, and a smile that lit up every room.

Cindy loved spending time with her grandchildren, who called her “Nina”, more than anything, and she spoiled them any chance she could. She also enjoyed spending time in the Jordan Valley on the river, and at the many local beaches. She also liked to kayak and hunt for mushrooms.

Cindy is survived by her two daughters, Taylor Bellenbaum and Madison Bellenbaum (fiancé Austin McMichael); four grandchildren, Eli Simpkin, Nicholas Maddix, Rylee Cebulski, and Carter Cebulski; her mother, Charlotte McLees; her sister, Brenda McLees; and her former husband and father of their daughters, Dan Bellenbaum.

She was preceded in death by her sister Wendy Beal.

A celebration of Cindy’s life will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024, with a time for memory sharing at 7:00 at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
