Cynthia Childers

Cynthia L. Childers, 54 of Ortonville, died Wed. May 13, 2015 at home. She was born Sept. 13, 1960, the daughter of Malcolm James and Eloise L. Drogt, in Palm Beach, FL. Cynthia loved to read and also cross stitch. Her favorite pas times were weekend shopping trips with her daughters, going up north to see her mom and sisters, and being with her granddaughter/partner in crime, Jemma. On Feb. 13, 1987, in Waterford, she married Roderick Childers who preceded her in death in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her brother Kenneth James. Surviving are her children Autumn Childers of Ortonville, Samantha Childers of Vail, CO, Zachary Childers of Ortonville, and Brandon James of White Lake, her mother Eloise (John) Litwaitis of Central Lake, sisters Christine James of Central Lake, Connie (Finn) Galloup of Traverse City, Candyce Livingston of Lanett, AL, Collette (Rick) Murray of The Villages, FL, Carol Gedney of Marysville, WA, special granddaughter Jemma Childers of Ortonville, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Fri. May 22, at Noon, at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with interment following in Southern Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thurs.
