Curtis Dale Beyer, 58, of Battle Creek, formerly of Charlevoix and the Petoskey area, “was called home to the sky” Sunday, July 12, 2014, in Battle Creek.
Curtis served in the United State Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa. He was a Master Plumber. Curtis enjoyed fishing and hunting, and loved his family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl Beyer, Kristina Mills, Katie Beyer, Curtis Beyer, and Terry Beyer; brother, Gary (John) Coudron; sisters, Lori (A.J.) McSawby-Hartle, Tina (McSawby) Wiser, Evelyn John, Elizabeth Crocet; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Verna Loretta Beyer; father, Guy Joseph John; mother, Catherine May (Sands) McSawby; brothers, Guy John, Randolph (John) Coudron; sisters, Jennifer McSawby, Wanda John, Betty Kewagshken, Arlene Antoine.
Graveside services will be 2 pm, Thursday, July 16, at the Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix. The Reverend Sam McClellan will officiate and military honors will be provided by the Charlevoix Area Veterans.
