Cora Janus

CORA L. JANUS, 36, of Mancelona, passed away on January 26, 2009 at her home. Cora was born on April 19, 1972 in Trenton, the daughter of John Jr. and Wanda (Johnson) Osborne. Cora has lived in Mancelona for the past 12 years and was employed by the Hideaway Bar. She enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting, birdwatching, fishing, boating on Torch Lake and most importantly helping all her friends and family. On May 24, 1995 in Las Vegas, NV., she married Gary Janus who survives. Also surviving are a son Jessey Janus at home, her mother Wanda (Dave) Bracali of Nevada, father John Osborne Jr. of Rockwood, two sisters, Jackie (Gary) Wiseman of Ontonogan, Tina Cagle of Akron, OH., grandmother Eva Osborne of Southgate, mother-in-law Donna Rudolph of Howell, father-in-law Lawrence (Maria) Janus of Westland, 6 nephews, 5 nieces, 2 great nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a daughter Amber, grandfather John Osborne, grandparents Annabelle and Henry Johnson and stepfather-in-law Thomas Rudolph. A memorial service will take place on Sat., Jan. 31, 2009 at Two p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place from noon until the time of service.
