Constance O'Neal

Constance "Connie" O'Neal went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 29, 2016 after a wonderful week long celebration of her 90th birthday. She now is rejoicing with her husband Doyle (2011), her brother Dick Williams, her daughter in-law Kimberly O'Neal and her parents. She was born Jan. 27, 1926 in Albion, graciously adopted by George and Mabel Webb. After marrying Doyle J. O'Neal on Nov. 16, 1946, in Arizona, they moved back to Michigan to raise their family. Connie was an active and devoted member of the Snowflake Spiritualist Church Camp for 45 years; always helping and assisting however she could. She was a current board member being the assistance treasurer and a past secretary. Family always came first to Connie and she loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed crafts like crocheting, knitting, cross stitch and painting. Connie stayed active all these years, even kayaking several times this past summer. Surviving are her children Bonnie (James) Campbell, of Clarkston, Diana (Jon) Schimke of Mio, Peggy (Jamie) Shafer of Bellaire, Robert O'Neal of Mancelona, James (Jodi) O'Neal of Bellaire, 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren with one on the way, 1 great grandchild with one on the way and a half- sister Judy (Dave) Bennett of Silverwood. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 31, at 2 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Reverend Pat Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place this spring in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
