Connie Dewey

Connie Marie Dewey, age 80 was taken home by her Lord Jesus Christ on May 22, 2021.  She was born on February 12, 1941, the daughter of Lewis and Pearl Dewey.

She was raised on the family farm outside of Bellaire.  Connie loved doing 4H, cooking, baking, sewing, quilting, and knitting.  Her hobbies also included gardening and working in the Bellaire Wesleyan Church missions.  Connie enjoyed watching sports and traveling with her children throughout her life.  She had a great sense of humor and exhibited an infectious laugh.  While raising her children, she returned to school and earned her licensed practical nurse degree.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, William, Charles, and Peggy Dewey.

Surviving her are five children, Ellen Greenman, Stephanie (Bob Yothers) Greenman, Todd (Rachel) Greenman, Tim (Lisa) Greenman, and Chad Greenman.  Additionally she had four grandchildren whom she loved immensely and a sister Dorothy (Dennis) Archer also survives.

Funeral services will take place Thursday, May 27th at 11 a.m. at the Bellaire Wesleyan Church (Fresh Start) with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service with Pastor Dennis Curell officiating.  Visitation will also be held Wednesday, May 26th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Interment will be in Eldred Cemetery, Kearney Township.
