Colin C. "Coke" Karner, 76, of Mancelona, passed away on March 6, 2025 at his home.
Coke was born on October 12, 1948, in Bay City, MI, the son of Louis and Elizabeth (Bickham) Karner.
In his younger years, he graduated from Bay City Handy High School, then earned an associate degree from Delta College and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.
Most recently he became joint owner/operator of the Press Box Bar and Restaurant as well as Valley Industrial Products. He enjoyed playing pool and darts as well as driving around in his 1978 Fiat.
Surviving are his sister Karen (Alan) Michalak of Caro, MI, sister-in-law Linda Karner, 4 step-children, Jimmy Miller, Robert Lynn II, Shelly (Denis) Martindale, Sherrie Woodin (Chris Beehler), 6 step-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife Donna Karner, 3 brothers, Gerald, Wayne, Dennis Karner, his parents, grandparents, and his step-father Edward Weiss.
Memorial services will take place on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the beginning of services also on Thursday.
Military honors will immediately follow services at the funeral home.
Coke will be buried in the spring in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona, alongside his late wife Donna.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family.
