Clifford Marshall

Clifford O. Marshall, 83, of Columbus, OH and Bellaire, MI, passed away on Aug. 2, 2014 in Traverse City, MI. Clifford was born Dec. 21, 1930 to the late John and Hazel (Patton) Marshall. He was a devoted father, father-in-law and grandfather. He served in the US Army, was a member of the Shamrock Club in Columbus, was a mason and and loved working with his hands, especially with wood and metal. He enjoyed spending time watching his grandson play baseball as well as traveling with him to Florida and Arizona to see Major League Spring Training. Survived by his beloved grandson, Jonathan Marshall of Columbus, and daughter-in-law, Drenda Marshall of Columbus, sister-in-laws, Sherry Marshall of Bellaire, Carol Craft of Mancelona, special nieces, Diana Kelly and Annete Kowall. Preceded in death by wife Eldeva Marshall, son Zane Marshall, 2 brothers, Tom and Grant Marshall, 2 sisters, Beatrice Tipton, Ellen Cihak, a brother-in-law, Phil Craft, and his parents. Memorial service will be on Sat., Aug. 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shamrock Club, 60 W. Castle Rd., Columbus, OH. There will also be a second memorial service along with Masonic Ceremony on Saturday, August 30, 11:00 a.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions may be made to his grandson Jonathan Marshall. Arrangements were handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
