Clifford Lanning

CLIFFORD D. LANNING, 67, of Mancelona, died on December 23, 2012 at his home. Cliff was born on March 22, 1945, in Petoskey, the son of Ward and Betty (Borst) Lanning. Cliff was an active member of the Mancelona Free Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and music. On September 27, 1997, in Mancelona, he married Vicki Drenth who survives. Also surviving are 6 children, Steven Lanning of Mancelona, Valerie (Patrick) Craft of Mancelona, Sheryl Lanning Scholl of Mancelona, Tara (Greg) Wilkin of Vermont, Travis (Nicole) Fales of Mancelona, Trent (Allison) Fales of Mancelona, 2 brothers, Norman (Edna) Lanning, Denny (Susan) Lanning, a sister, Susan (Mark) Kler all of Mancelona as well as 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special friend John Nichols. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Cody Czaplicki. Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the Mancelona Free Methodist Church with Pastor Gerald Cook officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
