Clarence E. Gosselin, 77, of Kalkaska, died Sat. Nov. 7, 2009 at home. He was born Oct. 2, 1932, in Detroit, the son of Arthur and Lillian (Sossong) Gosselin. Clarence proudly served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, sports and traveling. He has resided in Kalkaska since 1995. On Mar. 24, 1979, in New Baltimore, he married Kathleen Ferland who survives. Also surviving are his children Edward Gosselin of Tucson, AZ, Gary Gosselin of Trenton, Gail Gosselin of Romeo, Gerald Gosselin of Kalkaska, Michael Leader-Gosselin of Mancelona and Michelle Leader- Gosselin of Kalkaska, sister Marge Helzer of Lewiston, 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Robert Gosselin, brothers Bernie, Eugene, Joe, Art, and Leon Gosselin, and sister Mary Jane. Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 13 from 11 am until 7 pm and Sat. Nov. 14 from 10 am until 1 pm at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. A time of sharing will follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
