Clare Browne

Clare L. Browne, 95, of Bellaire, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. The daughter of Elmer J. and Miriam (Rodenfels) Nealon, she was born July 9, 1913, in Washington D.C. On June 4, 1949, in Detroit, she married Bruce A. Browne who preceded her in death in 1994. Together they traveled, golfed and gardened for many years. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Elmer J. Nealon, Jr. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2009 at Ten a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire with Fr. James Gardiner officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Torch Lake Twp. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
