Clifford W. Scholl, 78, of Mancelona, passed away on April 29, 2017 at his home. Cliff was born on October 4, 1938, in Mancelona, the son of Fred and Emma (Grunder) Scholl. Cliff was a lifelong resident of Mancelona, where he graduated from Mancelona High School in 1956. He drove school bus for Mancelona Public Schools for 27 years and was employed by Camp Tanuga for 34 years as head of maintenance. He enjoyed woodworking, making furniture and outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and farming. On June 27, 1959 in Mancelona, he married Mary Alexander who survives. Also surviving are three children, Deb Kresnak of Traverse City, Tom (Audrey) Scholl of Dryden, VA, Steve (Jamie) Scholl of Mancelona, five grandchildren, David Peterson, Rachel Crowell, Jessica Scholl, Miranda Scholl and Denver Scholl. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Lawrence Scholl. A graveside service will take place on Friday, May 5, 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona. Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim County Commission on Aging. Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
