Christopher Lee Stone, 31, passed away unexpectedly, Sun. Feb. 28, 2016. Chris was a lover of northern Michigan, the place he felt most at home. He loved all the outdoor recreation the area had to offer. Whether he was snowboarding, snowmobiling, taking his motorcycle out or floating a canoe down the river, Chris was up for anything fast. Quite possibly, his favorite pastime however, was driving one of his trucks through a mud hole or climbing a small mountain. In his professional life, Chris was a hardworking leader and asset, always bringing humor with him wherever he went. Chris had a heart of gold, a unique charm, a laugh that would light up a room, and a positive energy that was contagious. He is survived by his mother Sherry, father David, brother Daniel (Brieana), nephew Daniel, niece Maddison, and uncle Sisco (Jackie). He is also survived by countless close friends and family, and his cherished pit bull, Mr. Qualifus Stone. Though no children of his own, he was considered an adopted uncle by many. Chris will be greatly missed, but will live on through the love and memories he leaves behind. A Celebration of Life will be held Sun. Mar. 6 at 1 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12 pm. Please sign his online guestbook www.mortensenfuneralhomes.com.
