CHIEKO PRINCE, 83, of Central Lake, died on November 23, 2011 at her home. Chieko was born on March 21, 1928 in Wakayama-ken, Japan, the daughter of Yoshikazu and Harue (Sarashio) Yoneda. Chieko had summered on Intermediate Lake since 1980, then in the following years moved permanently to Central Lake. Prior to moving to Central Lake she had resided in Northville for 35 years. She was a member of the Church in the Hills in Bellaire and enjoyed golfing, crafts and ceramics. On January 31, 1959, in Detroit, she married August Prince who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Vicki Doucette of Garden City, Michael (Joyce) Prince of Dearborn Heights, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a half sister Kazuyo Nishio of Japan. She was preceded in death by a daughter Gloria Miller on July 16, 2011 and her parents. Visitation will take place on Fri., Nov. 25 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Funeral services will take place on Sat., Nov. 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church in the Hills in Bellaire. Rev. Duane Ferris will officiate.
