Charley Barrett

Charley C. Barrett, 78, of Alba, passed away on July 11, 2016 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility. Charley was born on August 27, 1937, in Flint, the son of Stanley and Rosetta (Patterson) Barrett. Charley enjoyed hunting and fishing. Prior to moving to Alba, he was employed by General Motors in Flint for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Martha Barrett, 5 children, Robin Muchler of Florida, Jodie Aldrich of Holly, MI, Charley C. Barrett Jr. of PA, Suzette Barrett of Davison, MI, Pamela (Ray) Villarreal of Swartz Creek, MI, 3 step-children, Cathy Jo McAleer of Prescott, MI, James (Lisa Delbridge) Kline of Prescott, MI, Kelvin Kline of Mancelona, MI, a brother, Donald Barrett, sisters Ilene, Jane, and Beverely many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 step-children, LaVerne Short Kline, Carl Kline, a grandson Joey Smock, 5 brothers, 3 sisters as well as his parents. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Ross Corne will officiate. Visitation will also take place on Thursday from noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Star Township Cemetery, Alba.
