Charles "Silver Fox" Marrs

Charles William “Silver Fox” Marrs,  88,  left his earthly home in Star Township, Antrim County, early Sunday morning, February 18, 2018.

He was born on October 11, 1929 in Detroit, the son of Ivan and Mildred (Bolda) Marrs.

He married the former Donna M. Graham in Almont, MI and recently celebrated 67 years of marriage on February 17, 2018.

Chuck was blinded around 1936 from a truck accident, but retained partial vision for the remainder of his life.

He was a retired member of Teamsters Local 299, and also played music and called square dances.

Chuck’s parents and brother Ivan W. Marrs Jr. pre-deceased him.

Survivors include his wife Donna; sons Michael M. (Cary) Marrs of Davison, MI, and Charles W. Marrs Jr., of Alba; grandson Michael C. Marrs and great-granddaughter Emily Marrs of Garner, N.C.

There are no plans for any service.

The family prefers that any donations be made to a local charity of their choice.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
