Charles Dawson

Charles L. Dawson, 88, of Kewadin, died Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Eastport.

He was born September 10, 1927 in Detroit to Charles and Dessie (Browning) Dawson.

On August 20, 1945, he married Nola Belle Bennett in Central Lake. They lived in Torch Lake Township.

Chuck drove truck for Michigan Milk Producers' Association for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards - especially canasta - and backyard barbeques with family.

Surviving are his wife Nola; children Barbara Dawson of Torch Lake Village, Herb Dawson of Central Lake, Betty Langschwager of Bay City, Bonnie (James) Trojanek of Torch Lake Village, Lucinda "Cindy" (Johnny) Guiton of Lincolnton, NC; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Lakeview Cemetery with Charlotte Lundy officiating.
