CaSandra Hill

CaSandra “Sandy” Hill, 66, of Bellaire, passed away on March 23, 2014 at her home.

Sandy was born on July 16, 1947 in Wyandotte, MI, the daughter of Don Sr. and Elizabeth (Imel) Ottgen.

Sandy was a resident of Bellaire for many years, was a member of the Antrim Community Church and had a love for volunteering around the community and being a “caregeiver” to many people.

She enjoyed scrap booking, doing crafts with her grandchildren and loved taking camping vacations to Munising, MI, with her husband Lonne.

On August 4, 1980, in Munising, she married Lonne Hill who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Jim (Kim) Patterson of Lansing, Chad (Lori) Patterson of Grayling, Sean (Karey) Hill of Battle Creek, 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 6 siblings, Michael (LuAnn) Ottgen of Sheridan, MI, Don (Pam) Ottgen of Lansing, Al (Bobbi) Totten of Lady Lake, Fla, Keith (Inge) Totten of Lansing, Connie (Don Burbo) Goodno of Gwinn, MI, Wanda (Mike) Thurman of Lansing, many nieces and nephews as well has her two best friends, Bonnie Powers, Sandy’s best friend of 56 years, of Lansing and Janet Rathbun of Bellaire.

She was preceded in death by her father Don Ottgen, stepmother Bea Ottgen, stepfather Pete Webster and her step brother James “Sonny” Totten.

Memorial services will take place on Wednesday, March 26 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.

David Hiser of the Antrim Community Church in Bellaire will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
