Carolynn Wicht

Carolynn Wicht, 74, of Alba, Michigan passed away September 15, 2012 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, Michigan.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Carolynn obtained her Registered Medical Assistant degree from Carnegie Institute. She married Robert "Bob" Wicht July 18, 1959, and had two children, Sandra and Roy. They moved to Northern Michigan in 1971 as the proprietors of the Alba Mini Mart. After 38 years, she retired and has enjoyed many hobbies including: sewing, quilting, cake decorating, scrapbooking, photography, painting, involvement at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, volunteering at MeadowBrook Medical Care Facility and spending time with her grandchildren. Carolynn was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She will be missed by sister, Rosalee (Claude) Trimm, brother Ronald (Sandra) Bonser, children Sandra (Brad) Jensen and Roy (Chris) Wicht, step-children Roby (Mary) Wicht and family, Edith (Don) Prescavage and family, grandchildren Brandy Larkin (Jim Chamberlin), Brooke (Chad) Malbouef, David Dipzinski (Mary Haworth), Daniel Dipzinski, Bradley Jensen, Jeremiah Jensen, and great-grandchildren Hailey and Bentley Malbouef.

Visitation will be at Mortensen Funeral Home 205 West State Street, Mancelona, Tuesday September 18, 2012 from 6-8pm and Wednesday September 19, 2012 from 10-12pm. Funeral services will at St. Matthew Lutheran Church 211 East Hinman Mancelona, Wednesday at 1:30pm with interment immediately following at the Alba Cemetery.
