Carol Wood

Carol A. Wood, 61 of Kalkaska, died Sun. June 26, 2016 at McLaren Northern Hospital in Petoskey. She was born June 14, 1955 in Highland Park, the daughter of Gene and Betty (Fillhauser) DeFelice. On May 11, 1972 she married the love of her life Charles C. Wood who survives. After many years of living in Garden City, they retired to northern Michigan. Carol enjoyed gardening, knitting, and arts & crafts. Also surviving are her children Michael Wood, Cindy (Chuck) Bartz, grandson Brandon Bartz, and brother Jim DeFelice. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Danny DeFelice. Funeral services will be held Fri. July 1, at 1 pm at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with visitation starting at 11 am. Interment will follow in Coldsprings Township Cemetery.
