Carol Whitson

CAROL B. WHITSON 72, of Bellaire, died Monday, April 26, 2010 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire. She was born July 9, 1937 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Courtland and Minerva (Burroughs) Whitson. Carol resided in Bellaire since 1997, moving from Fox Point, WI. She retired in 1996 as Vice President from a lifelong career in banking. Carol was highly respected in the banking industry and was an instructor and officer for the Institute of Financial Education. She held all officer positions including President of the Milwaukee, WI. Chapter. She was very active in the Bellaire community serving with the Bellaire Lioness Club, Bellaire Literary Club, Bellaire Library, Bellaire Community Food Pantry and the American Red Cross. Her favorite pastimes included reading, golf and helping others. Carol is survived by her sisters Marcia (Daniel) Varble of Bellaire, Dona Scott of Rockford, IL, brothers Richard (Virginia) Whitson of Brighton, MI, Robert (Madeline) Whitson of Rockford, IL, and Gerald and Terri DeLopst of Waukesha, WI., and many wonderful nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Reginald Whitson and Roger Whitson, and sister Patricia Huston. No services are planned at this time.
