Carol Lamoreaux

Carol A. Lamoreaux, 82, of Central Lake, passed away on July 3, 2021 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.  She was born September 24, 1938 in Petoskey, the daughter of Wilbert and Mary (Weimer) Fettig.

She was a lifelong resident of Banks Township and a member of the Eastport Baptist Church.  In her younger years she worked as a dietician and then when children came along she became a fulltime mother.  Carol enjoyed gardening and the fruits of its labor.  She especially enjoyed canning and making jam from the vegetables she grew.  She also enjoyed tending the many farm animals they raised.

Carol loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  On August 28, 1965 in Eastport, she married Marland A. Lamoreaux who preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, her son Steve, a sister, and brother.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Kathryn (Ronald) Eberline of Commerce Township, son Chris Lamoreaux of Albany, NY, grandchildren David, Heather, Erin (Bradley) Conner, Curtis, a great granddaughter on the way, several brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

She will be buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Torch Lake Township this fall.   Memorial contributions can be given to the Bellaire Food Pantry, PO BOX 252, Bellaire, MI 49615.
