Carol Haesler

Carol J. Haesler,  73, of Mancelona, passed away on March 17, 2020 at her home.  She was born on December 15, 1946, in St. Charles, IL, the daughter of Harvey and Helen (Wiggins) Bates.

Carol worked as a lunch room supervisor for many years at the West Aurora School District 129, in Aurora, IL for many years before retiring and moving to Mancelona permanently in 2012.

On December 29, 1965, in Wasco, IL, she married James Haesler who survives.  Also surviving are 2 sons, Jamie (Dianna) Haesler of Mancelona, Eric (Rana) Haesler of Glascow, KY, 4 grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, Kenndra and Elisabeth Haesler, 2 great-grandchildren, Samuel and Evelyn, 2 brothers, Darrel (Deanna) Bates of Grantsburg, IL, Kerry (Pat) Bates of KY, and a cousin Roberta McHarque.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David Bates, and her grandson, Jay Haesler.

There will be no visitation or service.    In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to her family.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
