Caitlyn R. Shafer

Caitlyn Rose Shafer,  24, of Bellaire, formerly of Central Lake,  passed away on May 26, 2024 at her home.

   Katie was the youngest daughter of Jacob and Teresa Shafer, sister to Tyler Cabic and Olive Shafer and granddaughter of Robert and Bonnie DeRosia.

   Katie had a love for adventure, a knack for making friends wherever she went, and a huge loving heart.   She was quick with a smile, an infectious giggle and a devilish sense of humor.   When she wasn't working as a CNA at Meadowbrook, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her best friends Olivia and Shannon.   She loved going to concerts, listening to her records, crafting and spending time with her cats.

   Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating.

   Interment will take place on the Wiltse Family Cemetery in Banks Township.

   Visitation will be from 12 noon until the beginning of services at the funeral home.
