Brennan Stewart, 28, was taken from us unexpectedly on the evening of Thursday, April 14th at his home in Bellaire, Michigan.
Brennan was a kind, generous soul with a big heart. He was passionate about the outdoors, including his love for deer hunting in Ohio, spearfishing in the Florida Keys, and walleye fishing in the Grass River. He was a talented junior hockey player who played with the Columbus Blue Jackets AAA team and competed internationally. Brennan loved to cook and especially loved grilling outdoors.
As a 2012 class member of Dublin Jerome High School and a proud graduate of Bowling Green State University, Brennan will be remembered as a bright personality that had unlimited potential in life. After graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Brennan worked in sales in Ohio before moving to Northern Michigan to enjoy summers on Clam Lake close to his mom.
Brennan is survived by his father, Jeff (Mindy) Stewart of Dublin, OH; his mother, Heather Stewart (Dale Snook) of Bellaire, MI; his brother, Shane (Gail) Stewart of Pittsburgh, PA; his grandmother, Sara (Mike) O’Neal of Huron, OH; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved labrador retrievers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents - G. Daniel (“Doc”) and Esther L. Stewart of Wooster, OH.
Losing Brennan has left a hole in his family’s hearts. We will miss his sharp mind, humor, and the love he was able to share with those closest to him. While we know he is now at peace, we will forever miss him until we are reunited someday. We love you Brennan.
A celebration of Brennan’s life will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
