Boyd L Baumgartner

Boyd Louis Baumgartner, 82, of Mancelona, passed away November 9, 2024. He was born July 3, 1942 in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Lewis and Ruth (Hammond) Baumgartner. 

Boyd was married to Judith (Smith) Baumgartner and together they brought 3 wonderful children into the world. Boyd was a machinist by trade and worked his way up to Foreman until his retirement. He immensely enjoyed spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. He also enjoyed all that northern Michigan had to offer. This included gardening, hunting, and fishing. Boyd kept a strong faith as a baptized Christian and spent each day to its fullest.

Left to cherish Boyd's memory is his loving wife Judith, 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, his brother Craig, and sister Nadine. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, at 5 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. also at the funeral homes.
