Bonnie E. Watrous, 64, of Bellaire, went to be with the Lord, on May 25, 2017 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Bonnie was born on September 13, 1952, in Bellaire, the daughter of Norval and Elizabeth (DeVerney) Kleeman. Bonnie was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians. She enjoyed spending time with her family who were the center of her life, and loved music. On June 2, 1973, in Bellaire, she married Robert Watrous who preceded her in death in 2008. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Bob and Lonnie Kleeman, two sisters, Mary Lou Zelenak and Rose Marie Shine as well as her parents. She is survived by two children, Robert (Rachel) Watrous of Elk Rapids, Betsy (Joel) Peacock of Bellaire, three step-children, Pam Hamminga of Decatur, MI, Roberta (Brandon) Cottrell of Rapid City, James Watrous of Rapid City, two brothers, Kenneth (Denise) Kleeman of Bellaire, Norval Kleeman of Mancelona, two sisters, Betty "Teena" VanPatten of WI, Linda (George) Coon of Mancelona, three grandchildren, Sylas, Rylan and Ember as well as multiple step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will be from 1:00p.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
