Bonnie Strauss

Bonnie L. Strauss, 80 of Bellaire, died peacefully, Monday, March 30, 2020 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.  She was born August 16, 1939 in Bellaire the daughter of Howard Lewis and Gladys (Gorham) Carey.

On June 14, 1958 in Bellaire Bonnie married the love of her life Gordon D. Strauss who survives.  Also surviving are her children Douglas (Nancy) Strauss and Susan Strauss, her grandchildren Michael and Melissa Strauss and Ashley Culp, her sister Sally (Charles) Hebden and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bud Lewis and sister Connie Troll.

Bonnie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also loved entertaining her family on the 4th of July on Lake Bellaire.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, and sewing.  Bonnie was active with the Commission on Aging and was often found volunteering at the Bellaire Public Library.

Graveside services in Lakeview, Bellaire, and a Celebration of Life will be celebrated later this spring.  Memorial contributions can be given to the Antrim County Commission on Aging, Senior Center, PO BOX 614, Bellaire, MI 49615 or the Bellaire Public Library, PO BOX 477, Bellaire, MI 49615.
