Beverly Meeker

BEVERLY J. MEEKER 67, of Mancelona, died on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at her home. Beverly was born on May 28, 1940 in Deering, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar and Georgia (Speer) Oakley. She was a resident of Mancelona for the past 20 years and was a member of the Mancelona Baptist Church. She enjoyed bird watching, following current world affairs, bible study, reading and spending time with her family. She is survived by nine daughters, Vicki Stacy, Dawn Buck, Brenda Hamilton, Dana Meeker, Melody Drogt, Valerie Peters, Heather Manning, Melissa Adkins and Venessa VanHorn. Also surviving are many, many grandchildren, several great grandchildren and her lifelong friend Jack Adkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Debbie Griffin and Trina Angel Adkins. Funeral services were held on Sat. Nov. 10, 2007 at the Mancelona Baptist Church. Pastor Dave McCarthy officiated. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mancelona Baptist Church.
