Beverly Grace Fogo, 69, of Bellaire, formerly of Troy, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2009 at Munson Hospice House, after a courageous 11 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on December 27, 1939 in Waterbury, CT to Donald and Dorothy Charlesworth and grew up in Royal Oak. She attended Jane Addams Junior High School and graduated Valedictorian from Kimball High School. She attended Alma College. On May 4, 1963, she married Richard George Fogo in Troy. Together they had five children Jeff (Sue) of Traverse City, Jennifer (Dan) Byce of East Jordan, Marc (Amy) of Bellaire, Matthew (Sue) of Boyne City and Patrick (Mary) of Troy. Beverly volunteered at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy for over 20 years and 9,000 hours. She enjoyed spending her time surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Dick, their 5 children and 11 grandchildren, sister Virginia (Herbert) O'Brien of Berkley, a brother-in-law, Neil (Carol) Fogo of IN, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents,Donald and Dorothy Charlesworth and her in-laws, Robert and Gladys Fogo. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Church in the Hills, Bellaire, at Ten-Thirty a.m. with Pastor Andrew Pomerville officiating. Interment will follow in Helena Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 23, 2009, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
