Betty Riddle

Betty J. Riddle,  66, of Mancelona, passed away on April 21, 2019 at Munson Medical Center.

Betty was born on August 7, 1952, in Bellaire, the daughter of Robert and Frances (Dalton) Ellsworth.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Mancelona and was employed by Gulf and Western, Wicks, and Dura for close to 30 years.

The most important part of her life was her family and spending time with them.  She always put them first as well as other people.  She was very much a “people pleaser”.

She enjoyed cooking and volunteering at the American Legion in Mancelona.

On October 24, 1970, in Mancelona, she married Sidney “Bill” Riddle who survives.  Also surviving are two children, Kendra (Kevin) Mitchell of Midland, Scott (Cindy) Riddle of Kalkaska, a brother Robert (Bev) Ellsworth of Estero, Fla, four sisters, Dorothy (Gary) Bartlett of East Jordan, Velma (Tony) Martinek of Bellaire, Frances (Butch) Erber of Boyne City, Virginia (Harold) Andersen of Mancelona, and 3 grandchildren, Taylor Riddle, Ty case and Seth Riddle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and William Ellsworth.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 12 noon at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mancelona Free Methodist Church.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
