Betty Carpenter

Betty A. Carpenter,  89, of Central Lake, passed away on October 28, 2021 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

She was born on March 23, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Murriel (Gordon) Novak.

Betty enjoyed bowling, traveling with her bowling teams, watching musicals as well as horror movies and was fond of animals, especially her cats.

Surviving are her husband Herbert L. Carpenter of Central Lake, 4 children, Carol (Bob) Rowe of TN, Susan (Carl) Veenstra of Ellsworth, Robert Carpenter of Central Lake, Ann (Don) Bemiss of Tahoe Vista CA, a grandson Andy Miller, great-grandson Aiden Miller and a brother Robert Novak of Florida.

Preceding her in death were a son Herbert Carpenter Jr., a grandson Hunter Veenstra and her parents.

At Betty's request, there will be no services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Antrim County Animal Shelter, 4660 M-88, Bellaire, MI,  49615.

Arrangements are being handled by the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
