Betty Borck

Betty L. Borck, 87, of Banks Township, died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility in Bellaire.

She was born September 10, 1928 in Detroit to Lewis and Anna Williams.

On June 21, 1952 she married Murray M. Borck in Detroit where they made their home. They moved to Banks Township in 1989. Mr. Borck died May 14, 2000.

Betty was a member of Belltower Reformed Church. She was an antique dealer for many years and enjoyed painting. She loved Tiger baseball and MSU sports and was a long-time member of the Sweet Adelines.

Surviving are her children Murray Borck Jr. of Traverse City, Karen Haigh of Pickney, Kathy Johnson of Bellaire, David Borck of Central Lake; step-children Patty (Frank) Eaton of Lady Lakes, FL, Barbara (Lee) Richards of Tampa, FL, Lori Borck of Flushing; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and her sister Marilyn Coleman of Livonia. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Marsha Borck.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Atwood Cemetery, Banks Township.
