Bernice Oliver

Bernice M. Oliver, 91, of Central Lake died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

She was born July 2, 1923 in Detroit to Walter and Violet (Howell) Bolser.

She moved to Central Lake in the early 1940's where she owned and operated Bernice's Beauty Shop.

Bernice enjoyed line dancing and was an instructor. She also enjoyed sewing at Second Chance, taking care of her grandchildren and traveling.

Surviving are her children Gail (Owen) McDowell of Eastport, John (Nancy) Oliver of Central Lake, and Kay (Mike) McPherson of Central Lake; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings Fern Oliver, Arlene Barber, Joan Andrews, Dale (Carla) Bolser, and Bruce (Shirley) Bolser. She was preceded in death by her parents Violet and Walter Bolser and brother Chet Bolser.

A celebration of Bernice's life will be held this summer.
