Barry Browe

Barry Michael Browe of Charlevoix, MI died at home December 25, 2017 surrounded by loved ones.

Born April 28, 1948 to Wilfred and Florence (nee Ward) Browe, Barry was the youngest of 6 children. He is survived by wife, Charlotte, two daughters, Monica and Brigitte, stepchildren, Jeremy, Crystal, Alanna, and Lara, 7 ½ grandchildren and brother Ron.

Born and raised in Hazel Park Detroit, he graduated from St. Rita’s Catholic High School of Detroit before moving to northern Michigan in the early 70s and worked for many years at Honeywell before retiring in 2015. He was an avid snowmobiler, classic car enthusiast, foodie, and loving family man. In his free time he also enjoyed biking around Charlevoix, recently picked up a passion for cooking, and was a diligent follower of local sports.

Visitation will be held at the Winchester Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, 209 State St., Charlevoix, MI 49720 on Thursday December 28, 2017 from 2-4pm with a memory sharing time beginning at 3pm.  There will be a memorial luncheon to follow at the VFW Hall, 12735 US31 N, Charleovix, Michigan 49720.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Charlevoix Hospital Cancer and Infusion Services c/o Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital, 14700 Lake Shore Drive, Charlevoix, MI.
