Barbara Roberts

Barbara L. Roberts, 80, of Bellaire, passed away on December 7, 2014 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. Barbara was born on January 26, 1934 in Royal Oak, MI. Barbara was a graduate of Michigan State University, she enjoyed reading, needlepointing, cross stitching as well as playing cards. She was a longtime volunteer at the Bellaire Public Library and served as treasurer of the Friends of the Bellaire Library. In 1975, she and her husband David purchased a home in Schuss Village then later, upon retirement, they built their permanent home in Summit Village in 1998. On December 17, 1955, in Royal Oak, she married David H. Roberts who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Charles (Rose) Roberts of Waterford, MI, Jonathon (Jessica) Roberts of Farmington Hills, MI, Douglas (Mindy) Roberts of Beverly Hills, MI, 5 grandsons, Brooks, Ian, Michael, Foster, Griffin as well as a great-granddaughter Cori. She was preceded in death by her parents. A "Gathering" for family and friends, will take place on Thursday, December 11 from 11:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
