Barbara Peterson

BARBARA J. PETERSON 78, of East Jordan, died on Sat., May 10, 2008 at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital in Petoskey. Barbara was born on Dec. 17, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of George and Floy (Palmer-Taylor) Schwabauer. Barbara was a long time member of the Ladies Auxillary in East Jordan and enjoyed traveling, crafting, crocheting, knitting, bowling, crossword puzzles and playing bridge. She is survived by 5 children, Salli (Joe) Encarnacion of East Jordan, Barbara Ann Bowden of East Jordan, Tim (Debbie) Walden of Brimley, Betty (Greg) Gerhard of Boyne City and James Walden of Duluth, Minn. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Preceding her in death were her parents, a son Charles Robert Walden in 1964, her first husband Albert George Walden and her stepfather Charles Taylor. Funeral services will be held on Tues., May 13, 2008 at Eleven a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake. Memorial contributions may be made to Grandvue Medical Care Facility in East Jordan or to her family.
