Barbara Miller

Barbara I. Miller, 63, of Bellaire, passed away on February 10, 2014 at her home. Barb was born on December 5, 1950, in Detroit, the daughter of William Sr. and Irena (Clark) Franklin. Barb drove school bus for the Forest Area Schools for several years and attended New Hope Church in Bellaire. She enjoyed writing, cooking, listening to oldies music, loved guns as well as her dogs, and most of all she enjoyed planning family gatherings and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by 8 children, Stacci Fisher of Rapid City, Lisa (Dave) Myas of Bellaire, John (Rachel) Gantner of Kalkaska, Marianne (Doug) Ingersoll of Fife Lake, Bill & Dena Gantner of Bellaire, Lon (Janeth) Gantner of Westland, MI, Mike Gantner of Commerce, MI, Matthew (Vanessa) Gantner of Brownstown, MI, her husband Dale Miller, a brother William Jr. (Cindi) Franklin of Brighton, MI, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson Jeremy Schwierking, her parents Mema and Pepa and her beloved dog Taco. Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Bob Felton officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from noon to 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Community Church, Bellaire.
