Barbara Kopkau

Barbara Morrison Kopkau, 88, of Williamsburg passed away on March 23, 2018 at Grand Traverse Pavillion.

Barbara was born on January 11, 1930 in Yuba to the late Peter Clyde and Daisy (Levall) Morrison. She attended Yuba School then graduated from Traverse City High before attending CMU in 1948.  She loved the history of Yuba and was a consistent attendee of the Class of ’47 meetings. Barbara will forever be known as the Cooking Queen. She enjoyed spending her time cooking and would feed everyone that would allow her to do so. She loved watching her grandchildren at every chance that was given to her. Her great grandchildren brought her the largest amount of joy in the past few years. Barbara was very passionate about politics and debating her views.

Barbara is survived by her children, Craig (Carol) Kopkau of Largo, Florida, Karen (Ron) Riegle of Williamsburg, David (Terrie) Kopkau of Kewadin, Katie (Steve) Puterbaugh of Eagle River, Alaska. Barbara is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
