Barbara Good Berlage Feldkircher

Barbara Ann Good was born in Van Wert, Ohio on March 14, 1929 to Dr. Roland and Marguerite Good.  She graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1951 with a Bachelor’s degree in education, and did her graduate work at the University of Cincinnati.  She married Donald James Berlage, of Cincinnati, on August 15, 1951.

Barbara taught first grade at St. Mary’s in Charlevoix, and then kindergarten, first and second grades at Charlevoix Elementary School, from 1967 to 1980.

In 1980, Barbara married William A. Feldkircher, of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. For 16 years they lived in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA and then retired for another 16 years in Las Vegas, NV.

Barbara is survived by three sons, Clint Berlage, Charlevoix; Jim Berlage, Charlevoix; and Steve (Cathy) Berlage, of Troy, Michigan; three step-daughters Barbara (Charles) Hardy of Kitty Hawk, NC; Joanie Margulis of El Cajon, CA; and Nancy (Phil) Estes of Orinda, CA; one nephew: Christopher (Vicki) Pollock (York Harbor, ME) and one niece Micki Pollock (York Harbor, ME);  and 12 grandchildren: Nick (Troy),Rachel (Chicago) and Will Berlage (Troy); Ava Berlage (Charlevoix), Mary Claire Hardy, (Kill Devil Hills, NC) Eva Williams (Jeremy) (Raleigh, NC) and Carla Hardy (Durham, NC); Jennifer White (Doug) (San Diego, CA) and Carrie Benning (Zander)  (Santee, CA); and Layne, Logan and Casey Estes (Orinda, CA).

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Bill, on May 4, 2012, her sister, Reverend Bette Pollock, (Clarke) also known as “Father Mom” (York Harbor, ME) and nephew Ron Pollock of York Harbor, ME.

The planned Memorial Services have been postponed due to COVID-19.  Services will be held at a future date, COVID-19 permitting.
