Barbara Denny

Barbara D. Denny, 92 of Ellsworth, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.  She was born October 8, 1928 in Greenville, MI the daughter of D.C. and Emma (Stuckey) Williams.

On October 11, 1948 in Ellsworth she married Alvin “Pop” Denny.  Together they enjoyed many years of camping, fishing, and picking blueberries in the U.P.  Barbara also enjoyed growing a large garden and sharing it.  She was a good person who was funny and loved to watch old game shows on T.V.

Surviving are her daughters Darlene Denny of Ellsworth, Vivian (Mark) Winn of Eastport, and Susan Charboneau of Charlevoix, sisters Beatrice O’Connor of Manistique and Connie Wier of Belmont, 8 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Jim, her granddaughter Sandra McDonald, brothers Darwin and Roy Williams, and sisters Rose Dombrowski, Audry Freeman, and Patricia Lewis.

Graveside services will be held in Ellsworth Cemetery at a later date.
