Arnold Eugene Beckner Sr.

Arnold E. Beckner Sr., 72, of Mancelona, passed away on April 23, 2022 at his home.

   He was born on October 14, 1949, in Elmira, MI, the son of Roy and Hilda (Muma) Beckner.

   Arnold was a liflelong resident of Antrim County.   He enjoyed fishing, playing cards with his family, taking car rides around and was known to stop at the casino now and then.

   Surviving are 3 children, Kathleen Beckner of Harrison, MI, Arnold Jr. (Sheila) Beckner of Mancelona, Roy (Jennifer) Beckner of Mancelona, a brother Bob (Clarice) Beckner of Cadillac, MI, sister Helen Fronse of Clio, MI, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his wife Martha Waterstradt and his parents.

   Graveside services will be on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Star Township Cemetery in Alba.  A reception will follow at the Breath of Life Ministry, Highway C42, Alba, MI 49611 (bright red church).

   Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.

   Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
