Anthony Peterson

Anthony Michael Peterson, 73, of Central Lake and formerly of Lansing, died Thurs. Dec. 30, at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City. He was born Feb. 17, 1937, in Detroit the son of James and Evelyne (Mercer) Peterson. Mike was a prominent business owner in the Lansing Area for 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Betsy (Burke) Peterson, children Michele (John) Berres of Escanaba, Kelly Peterson of Mt. Pleasant, James (Nicki) Peterson of Whittier, CA, 5 grandchildren Kyle Berres, Brendan Hovey, Kerry Berres, Jarrett Hovey, Lillianna Peterson, brother Edward Peterson of Oaxaca, Mexico, and sister Penelope Massey of Mazatlan, Mexico. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Steven Peterson. Private family services will be held at a later date. Graveside services will be announced in the spring.
