Anthony G. Lavanway, 21, of Jordan Township, Antrim County, passed away on May 10, 2016 at home following a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Anthony was born on March 2, 1995 in Petoskey. Anthony loved the outdoors, especially mudding, dirt biking, snowmobiling, fishing, and shooting skeet. He is survived by his parents, Anthony (Linda) Lavanway of Jordan Township, Tina Moggo of Monroe, MI, Richard (Nessa) Ferris of Petoskey, grandparents, Barbara Webster of Mancelona, Bud (Debbie) Ferris of Boyne City, twin brother Richard Lavanway of Jordan Township, two other brothers, Tate Ferris of Petoskey, Zach Devors of East Jordan, four sisters, Ashley Clark-Ferris of Charlevoix, Samantha Webster of Mancelona, Caitlin Ferris of Gaylord, Kailin Bennett of Petoskey, special aunt and uncle, Kathy (Bill) Nancarrow of Mancelona, special brother Dennis Short of Quantico, VA as well as many other family members. He was preceded in death by papa Larry Webster, great-grandparents Margery and Gerald Lavanway and Mona and Harold Ferris. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Matt Tharp officiating. Interment will take place in Dunsmore Cemetery, Echo Township. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to his family.
