Annette E. Nevins, 83, of Kalkaska passed away August 1, 2014 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. She was born September 6, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Sheldon and Ella Cissna. She is survived by many loving children, Kim Gauld, Carl Root, Warren Root, Albert Root, Dorothy Root, Howard Peterson, Frank Peterson, Gloria Kaminski, Audrey Dean, Jennifer Fleet, Jeff Vollen and Scott Vollen; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Merritt. She loved to crochet, play wii bowling, euchre, game shows, motocycles, animal planet, cops, cats, dogs, flowers and feeding the birds. She was a Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed anything to do with Chicago. She was very patriotic and loved spending time with her family. A graveside service celebrating her life will be Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lodi Cemetery in Kalkaska with Pastor Mark McCool officiating.
