Anna Klooster

Anna G. Klooster, 99, of Charlevoix died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital.

She was born August 6, 1917 to Andrew and Jennie (Rutgers) Bergsma in Fennville, Michigan.

In 1936 she married John C. Vandenberg in Ellsworth. John died on September 3, 1950.

On October 24, 1952 she married John Klooster in Charlevoix where they made their home. John died May 3, 2007.

Anna enjoyed homemaking, crocheting, knitting, flower gardening and her Sheltie, Mollie. She was a member of the Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix.

Surviving are her children Garry (Esther) Vandenberg of Kalamazoo, Ronald (Mary Ann) Vandenberg of Swartz Creek, and Doris (Michael) Delmotte of Peoria, Ariz.; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Janice Maddox and brother Harvey DeGroot.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Community Reformed Church in Charlevoix with the Rev. Chip Sauer and the Rev. David Delmotte officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Barnard Cemetery.
