Andrew "Bird" Priess

Andrew Michael Priess, 24, of Eastport, passed away on November 1, 2020.

He was born on April 4, 1996, in Lapeer, MI, the son of Wayne Priess Jr. and Sarah (Cain) Priess.

Andrew was employed as a line cook for the Riverwalk Grill and Taproom in Elk Rapids.  In addition to his love for cooking, he enjoyed fishing, paint balling, riding ATV’s, working on cars, and spending time with his dog “Dax”.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Julianna Viszmeg, and Violet Spencer both of Bellaire, his mother, Sarah (Cain) Priess of Bellaire, his father and step-mother, Wayne (Kerri) Priess Jr., of Paragould, AR, a brother, Nickolas Priess of Eastport, maternal grandmother, Sonja Cain of Eastport, paternal grandparents, Wayne (Carol) Priess of Otter Lake, MI, as well as aunts, Connie Priess and Amanda Wiltse , and uncle Dave (Misty) Cain as well as several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David Cain Sr., and an aunt, April Stanke.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.  Funeral services will be on Friday, November 6, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Bekkering officiating.

Following services cremation will take place.
