Alvin K. Bowhall, 84, of Seven Fields, PA, most recently Mancelona, passed away on December 27, 2021 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City.
He was born on March 11, 1937, in Detroit, the son of Knapp and Evelyn (Morris) Bowhall.
Al was a mechanic most of his life and spent many years as the service manager for multiple car dealerships. Although he loved cars and working on them, he especially loved spending time with his family.
On August 31, 1957, in Detroit, he married Patricia L. Ostrowski who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Douglas (Debra) Bowhall of Petoskey, Brian (Penny) Bowhall of Nashville, TN, Barry (Judy) Bowhall of Crown Point, IN, Lisa (Louie) DeJonge of Kalkaska, 6 grandchildren, Jessica Bowhall, Stephanie (Jeremiah) Coon, Sarah (Tim) Free, Louie (Kassie) DeJonge, Briley Bowhall, Briann Bowhall and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Joann Conklin.
Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona with Fr. Chet Collins officiating.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 31 from 3-5 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with a rosary recitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Burial will be in the spring in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
