Alice Reitmeyer

Alice P. Reitmeyer, 91, of Bellaire, passed away on September 17, 2014 at the Heritage Haus in Bellaire. Alice was born on September 17, 1923, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Patrick and Irene (Abel) Doyle. Alice was a former member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Charlevoix and most recently a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire. She was employed as a promotion manager for the Pontiac Press for many years prior to retiring in 1978 and was active in Girl Scouts of America. She summered on Torch Lake since the 1950's and became a permanent resident in 1978. She is survived by two sisters, Connie Ruggles of Torch Lake Township, Catherine "Elaine" (Norman) Winterhalter of Torch Lake Township, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Reitmeyer, three brothers, John "Jack" Doyle, Robert Doyle, Patrick Doyle as well as her parents. Memorial services will take place on Saturday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Gary Bekkering will officiate.
